Stephanie Ulmer Bariatric (Obesity), Breast and General Surgeon Surgeon Stephanie Ulmer is an expert in bariatric (weight loss) surgery as well as breast and general surgery. She has spent a lot of her career dedicated to weight loss surgery and the outcomes that can be achieved for her patients. Stephanie completed her surgical training in 2006, where she gained specialist expertise in Australia utilising many different forms of laparoscopic weight loss surgery.

Upon returning to New Zealand after her training she worked as a consultant and started up BetterLife Surgery. 

Since starting BetterLife Surgery, Stephanie has completed over 300 Bariatric procedures.

Stephanie takes immense satisfaction from the life-changing experience that surgery brings to her patients.

She performs most of her weight loss surgeries at Ormiston Hospital and is now consulting from Ormiston Specialist Centre.
