Gynaecological cancer, precancer and vulval disease.
Lois trained at the Royal Free Hospital Medical School, University of London, graduating in 1993 and completed general obstetric and gynaecology training in London. She then completed additional training in gynaeoncology in Birmingham and hold subspecialist certification in gynaecological oncology from the RCOG in the UK and also have been awarded the European Board and College Accreditation in Gynaecological Oncology.
Lois has a particular interest in vulval disease and has published and lectured on vulval pain, vulval skin conditions and cancer and her research degree was in vulval disease. She is an accredited colposcopist with the BSCCP and the Lead Colposcopist at National Women’s Health at Auckland City Hospital. Lois spent a year in New Zealand as a senior registrar and enjoyed it so much, that she came back 2 years ago to become one of the 3 gynaecological oncologists at National Women’s Health at Auckland City Hospital.
